“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Haggai 2:9 (KJV)
What Haggai 2:9 means
God’s promise here is that what He builds next can outshine what came before — the latter greater than the former — and that in the very place of rebuilding, He gives peace. Whatever season you’re coming out of, don’t measure your future by your past. God specializes in “greater than before,” and He brings His peace along with it.
Today’s prayer
Father, thank You that my best days aren’t behind me. Make what’s ahead greater than what’s behind, and give me Your peace right here, in this place, today. I’ll trust You to build something good. In Jesus’ name, amen.
