1 Peter 5:10 KJV — Meaning, Reflection & Prayer

Daily Scripture · October 14, 2026

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

1 Peter 5:10 (KJV)

What 1 Peter 5:10 means

Suffering is real, but notice the words “a while” — it isn’t the end of your story. The same God of all grace who called you into His eternal glory is the One who personally restores, strengthens, and steadies you on the other side of the hard season. You won’t come out of this broken and abandoned; you’ll come out established. Hold on — God Himself is finishing what He started in you.

Today’s prayer

Father, God of all grace, thank You that this hard season is only “a while,” not forever. Restore me, strengthen me, and settle me in You. Help me hold on, trusting that You will complete the good work You began. In Jesus’ name, amen.
