“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

What James 1:17 means
Every good thing in your life — the breakthroughs and the small mercies — comes down from a God who gives generously and never changes. People shift, seasons turn, moods swing, but the Father of lights is steady and good through all of it. When you’re counting your blessings today, trace them back to the unchanging One who sent them.
Today’s prayer
Father, thank You that every good and perfect gift comes down from You. When life keeps shifting, help me rest in the fact that You never change — You are good today, tomorrow, and forever. Make me grateful, and keep my eyes on You, the Giver. In Jesus’ name, amen.
