“Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee.”
Zechariah 9:12 (KJV)
What Zechariah 9:12 means
Even when hard circumstances feel like a prison, God calls you a prisoner of hope — someone held not by despair but by hope. Run to Him, your stronghold, and hold on: He promises to more than make up for what you’ve lost, restoring double for the trouble you’ve been through.
Today’s prayer
Father, when I feel trapped by my circumstances, remind me that I’m a prisoner of hope, not despair. Be my stronghold today, and help me trust You to restore and repay what’s been lost. In Jesus’ name, amen.
