Zechariah 4:6 KJV — Meaning, Reflection & Prayer

Daily Scripture · October 22, 2026

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Zechariah 4:6 (KJV)

What Zechariah 4:6 means

The thing you’ve been straining to force into place isn’t yours to muscle through alone. God’s biggest work gets done by His Spirit, not by how strong, connected, or impressive you are. So stop grinding yourself empty trying to make it happen on sheer willpower — bring it to Him, lean on His Spirit, and let Him supply the power you don’t have.

Today’s prayer

Father, I’ve been trying to carry this in my own strength, and I’m worn out. Remind me today that it’s not by my might or my power, but by Your Spirit. Fill me, lead me, and do what only You can do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
