2 Kings 6:16 KJV — Meaning, Reflection & Prayer

Daily Scripture · October 2, 2026

“And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”

2 Kings 6:16 (KJV)

What 2 Kings 6:16 means

When the problems around you feel like they’ve got you surrounded and outnumbered, remember what Elisha told his frightened servant: don’t be afraid, because what’s for you is greater than everything against you. There’s more going on than you can see — God’s help and presence outnumber every threat. The odds aren’t actually stacked against you. Lift your eyes above the problem and trust that the One who’s with you is more than enough.

Today’s prayer

Father, when I feel surrounded and outnumbered, open my eyes to see that You are with me and that You are more than enough. Replace my fear with faith. Thank You that what’s for me is greater than anything against me. I’ll trust You today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
